Our Team

Brian HersmanPrincipal

Brian Hersman joined JMI in 2008 and is based in San Diego, California.  His primary area of investment focus is enterprise software.  He is currently a Director of BigMachines, Innovative Interfaces and PowerPlan.

Prior to joining JMI, Brian was a Senior Associate at Vista Equity Partners where he executed enterprise software transactions and assisted portfolio companies with growth initiatives, strategy, acquisitions, and operational improvement.  He also worked with software and services companies as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company.

Brian received a BA in Economics and Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Science in Management of Information Systems from the Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
